Holley Unveils All-New Clearwater LED Lighting on Tricked Out Can-Am – Off Road Xtreme

Take Holley’s Chief Video Producer, Jeremy Stoermer, and his kick-ass 2019 Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo side-by-side for instance. While the factory lighting on the UTV provides plenty of illumination for slower-speed scenarios, it struggles to provide the output required to hammer down in the dark. It also doesn’t have diddly squat for backup lighting, something that is both inconvenient and potentially dangerous.

Looking to make night adventures in his Can-Am Maverick a far more functional affair, Jeremy set to outfitting his side-by-side with Clearwater LED Lighting with forward-facing and backup illumination being the primary objective. Here’s everything you need to know about installing these useful (and ultra-easy to install) LED upgrades on your UTV, or any other platform for that matter.

USA-Made Clearwater LED Lighting

Every product offered by Clearwater Lights, including the LED kits we will be discussing today are crafted in the USA and contain proprietary circuit control panels for lower power consumption and greater longevity.

With the use of universal brackets, stainless-steel hardware, and both 20mm and 25mm length hex bolts in each lighting kit, you gain access to a staggering array of mounting options. Available in seven different housing diameters, with multiple beam configurations and power outputs, the Clearwater advantage is indeed crystal clear.

  • High-Quality Components
  • Proprietary Digital Control Circuits
  • Long Life Expectancy
  • Low Power Consumption

For Jeremy’s Maverick, he opted to go with a set of Clearwater Erica lights (P/N:ORE1) out front. With just 60 watts of power consumption when set on high, a 3.73-inch diameter across each light housing, and 6000-plus lumens of maximum output per unit, the numbers look right-on with these products.

However, being that you don’t need all 12,000 lumens of output all of the time, Jeremy opted to install Clearwater’s dimmer switch as well. The main harness of this unit relies upon WeatherTech engineering for its socket connectors, thus providing unrivaled levels of protection, even power distribution, and longevity.

Jeremy also slapped some “spot diffusion diodes” out back via the installation of Clearwater Darla lights (P/N: D71). At just 24 watts of consumption per light when set on high, and 2,400-plus lumens, these tiny 2.2-inch diameter LEDs are an outstanding lighting solution for when it’s time to throw that rig in reverse.

Here’s how he made it all happen…

How to Install LED Lights On a UTV or Side-by-Side

For those of us who are fortunate enough to own UTV machines, all of the exposed bracketry, piping, and open bolt-holes along the factory roll cage make for fantastic light mounting options. Just be sure that your wiring harness is long enough to support …….
